Hello! Welcome to authentic and effective Biblical Counseling that provides you with permanent solutions. My purpose is to help you find real and lasting freedom, emotional healing, and authentic restoration for your relationships - through the application of Biblical truth. My name is Paul Hoeks. I am a Certified Biblical Counselor with the Truth in Love Biblical Counseling. I have also been an ordained pastor in full-time ministry with Calvary Chapel for over 25 years. I have helped many people who have struggled with various issues of life. There are profound differences between counseling that is based in God's Word and secular therapy approaches. Biblical Counseling is truly Christian, but not all “Christian counselors” are Biblical. Spiritual growth is the primary focus of my counseling approach. Understanding who we are from God's perspective is the key that unlocks God's remedies. Applying His Word to our lives is my primary tool. Faith in the empowerment of the Holy Spirit is essential.
The methods and strategies of this counseling ministry are all based on the Bible, its categories, and how the truths in God's Word apply to the problems of humankind. The goal is life transformation, not simply behavioral modification. At Truth in Love, we believe in robust Biblical support in healing from the ravages of life, and we purpose to be a place for you to know you are accepted no matter what you've experienced or where you have been. We are dedicated to being a safe-haven for the wounded, oppressed, discarded, and disregarded. We believe that every human being is created in the image of God and thus has a priceless and inherent worth that the ravages and sins of life cannot diminish nor destroy. What it looks like
Most of my counseling ministry takes place over video calls on Zoom or Skype; but, I can also provide counseling over the phone or in person (in the Seattle area). Sessions are 60 minutes at a rate of $45/hour. This is your donation made to our non-profit counseling ministry at the end of each session. After each session we determine together if we should continue in the counseling process.
